Shipping Policy
Most Betterly orders arrive about 4–9 business days after checkout: 2–5 business days for our U.S. fulfillment partner to pack and ship, then 2–4 with USPS. Shipping is priced from your package's weight and charged at cost, with no markup.

How long delivery takes
There are two separate clocks, and it is worth keeping them apart. The first is fulfillment: the time our U.S. partner takes to pick and pack your order. The second is transit: the time USPS takes to carry it. Adding them together is the honest expectation for a normal order.
| Stage | Typical time | What is happening |
|---|---|---|
| Order confirmed | Straight away | Confirmation email with your order reference, then the order goes to fulfillment. |
| Packed and shipped | 2–5 business days | Our U.S. fulfillment partner picks, packs, and hands the parcel to USPS. |
| In transit | 2–4 business days | USPS carries it to your address. Tracking updates from the moment the label scans. |
| On your doorstep | About 4–9 business days total | The two windows above, added together. Business days — weekends and holidays do not count. |
These are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Weather, holiday peaks, and unusually large orders can add a day or two, and we would rather publish a range you can plan around than a single number that slips. If you are re-ordering something you take daily, order it with roughly a week of product still in the bottle.
What shipping costs
Shipping is priced by weight from our carrier's published USPS rates, and we pass it through at cost. We do not mark it up, and we do not use it as a hidden margin line. That is also why there is no free-shipping threshold: rather than building the cost into every product price, we show it as what it is.
| Package weight | Shipping | Roughly what that is |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 0.5 lb | $4.50 | One capsule bottle — the most common order |
| Up to 0.75 lb | $5.50 | A bottle plus a small item, or one larger bottle |
| Up to 1 lb | $7.00 | Two or three bottles |
| Up to 2 lb | $9.00 | A powder tub, or a small stack of bottles |
| Up to 3 lb | $12.00 | Protein or greens powder plus capsules |
| Each additional pound | +$1.75 | Added on top of the 3 lb rate |
Weight means shipped weight, so the box and packing material count toward it — about a sixth of a pound on a typical parcel. Powders such as protein, greens, and hydration weigh considerably more than capsules, so a training and recovery order will usually land a tier or two above a single bottle of capsules. Your exact shipping charge is calculated from your real cart and shown before you pay.
The handling fee
Every order carries a handling fee of about 4%. It covers securely handling, packaging, and fulfilling the order — the work between your checkout and the label going on the box, which the carrier rate does not include.
It applies to every order regardless of how you pay, it is a percentage rather than a flat charge, and it appears as its own line in your cart before you enter any payment details. We would rather show it than fold it invisibly into product prices.
What you see at checkout
- Subtotal — your products, with the 10% Subscribe & Save discount already applied to any subscription item.
- Shipping — the weight-based USPS rate above, at cost.
- Handling — about 4% of the order.
- Sales tax — where your delivery address requires it.
Nothing is added after that. The total you approve is the total you pay.
Where we ship
We ship within the contiguous United States — the lower 48 — using USPS.
We are not able to ship to Alaska or Hawaii, and we do not ship internationally. If that is where you are, we would rather say so here than take an order we cannot deliver. If you are unsure whether we can reach your address, ask us before you order.
Tracking your order
Every order gets a tracking number once the label scans. You do not need an account to use it: track an order with your order reference and email — the reference is in your confirmation email. If you have an account, the same information lives under Orders & Tracking, along with everything you have ordered before.
Tracking can sit quiet for a day or so after a label is created — that is the gap between the label printing and the parcel entering the USPS network, and it is normal.
Late, lost, or damaged
If tracking has not moved for several business days, if a parcel is marked delivered and is not there, or if what arrives is damaged, tell us. Send us a message with your order reference and a line about what happened — a photo helps for damage — and we will make it right with a replacement or a refund, whichever you would rather have.
A delivery problem is not a separate policy from a product problem. Both run through the same 30-day window set out in our returns and replacements policy.
Ready when you are
Now the boring part is out of the way
If you are ordering for the first time, one product beats five. Evenings that will not switch off point toward our sleep and relaxation collection; a routine that keeps getting derailed usually starts with the everyday basics.
