Collagen & Vitamin E Strips

Collagen & Vitamin E Strips put 100 mg of collagen peptide and 6 mg of vitamin E onto a mango oral strip that dissolves on your tongue. No water, no capsule to swallow, no scoop to rinse out. Thirty strips to a pack, one a day, and the pack is thin enough to live in a jacket pocket or the front of a gym bag. The label calls it a Daily Skin Support Formula.*

About the collagen peptide

Collagen is a structural protein — the fibrous stuff that makes up a large share of the protein in skin, tendon, cartilage and bone. Whole collagen is a big, tightly wound molecule. A collagen peptide is that same protein broken down into much shorter chains, which is what "peptide" means and what makes it dissolve readily instead of sitting in the mixture as a solid. That solubility is the reason a peptide can travel in a strip that weighs 265 mg in total when whole collagen couldn't. You're getting 100 mg per strip. The Daily Value for collagen peptide hasn't been established, which is why the panel marks it with a dagger rather than a percentage.

About the vitamin E

Vitamin E is one of the four fat-soluble vitamins, alongside A, D and K. It travels with fat rather than water, and chemically it's a family of tocopherols and tocotrienols. The form here is DL-alpha-tocopherol — alpha-tocopherol being the member of that family the Daily Value is written against. At 6 mg, one strip carries 40% of the DV.

Why an oral strip

The film itself is pullulan, a naturally derived polysaccharide that forms a thin, clear, quick-dissolving sheet, held together with cellulose, pectin and lecithin. Put one on your tongue and it melts in seconds. Nothing to swallow, nothing to wash down, nothing to measure. If capsules are a struggle, if you're travelling, or if you just forget the bottle that's sitting in a cupboard at home, a strip removes most of the reasons a daily supplement stops being daily.

How it tastes

Mango, sweetened with monk fruit extract and steviol glycosides rather than sugar, with malic acid for a little tartness on the finish so it doesn't read as flat or syrupy. It's a few seconds of flavor, not a drink.

Who it's for

Anyone who wants a daily collagen and vitamin E routine without another capsule in the stack. It suits people who don't get on with pills, anyone keeping a supplement routine on the road, and anyone who prefers a lactose-free format they can take anywhere.

How to use it

Place 1 oral strip on the tongue daily and allow it to dissolve.
