The seven extracts, and what they are
Every one of the seven is a botanical extract, and every one is listed by name with its own milligram figure — there's no proprietary blend here, so you can see exactly how the botanicals are divided.
Curcuma Longa is turmeric: the knobbly golden rhizome behind the colour of curry powder and a fixture of South Asian cooking and Ayurvedic tradition for centuries. Andrographis is the plant this strip is named alongside it for — a bitter-leaved herb long grown across South and Southeast Asia, where its taste earned it the nickname "king of bitters".
Phoenix Dactylifera is the date palm, the tree that gives us dates. Vitis Vinifera is the common grape vine — the species behind table grapes, raisins and wine. Cichorium intybus is chicory, the blue-flowered plant whose root gets roasted into coffee in New Orleans and across Europe. Phyllanthus Emblica is amla, the Indian gooseberry, a sharply sour green fruit that's a staple of Ayurvedic preparations. Phyllanthus Niruri is its smaller relative, a low-growing tropical herb from the same botanical family.
Together they're an unusually plant-led panel: no isolated vitamins, no minerals, no caffeine.
How it tastes and how it's taken
Mango and orange, which is a sensible pairing for a botanical strip — the bitterness of andrographis and the earthiness of turmeric need a bright, sweet fruit note to sit behind, and mango and orange together do that better than either alone. Licorice extract adds its own rounded sweetness, malic acid keeps the citrus from going flat, and steviol glycosides — the sweet fraction of the stevia leaf — do the sweetening. Pullulan forms the film, cellulose and mannitol give it body, and lecithin helps the extracts disperse evenly through it.
One strip on the tongue, and it dissolves. No water, no shaker, nothing to swallow, nothing to refrigerate — it goes in a wallet, a carry-on, a clutch or a glovebox and stays there.
Who it's for
People who'd rather take a botanical than a stimulant, and who like knowing the milligrams. Anyone who travels and doesn't want to carry bottles. Anyone who finds capsules hard to swallow or simply tiresome. And anyone drawn to turmeric, amla and andrographis but not to the idea of drinking something gritty to get them. Vegan and gluten free, so it slots into most eating patterns without a second look.
