The vitamin and mineral side

The top of this panel reads like a multivitamin, because it is one. Twenty-two rows, and most of them name their chemical form — beta-carotene for vitamin A, ascorbic acid for C, cholecalciferol for D, ferrous fumarate for iron, zinc oxide for zinc — which matters because "zinc" on a label can mean several different compounds. Five rows print no form at all: folate, biotin, selenium, manganese and molybdenum. The heaviest percentages are B6 at 706% of the Daily Value, vitamin E at 266%, thiamin at 250% and pantothenic acid at 240%. Folate is printed as 680mcg DFE, with 400mcg of it named as folic acid.

Choline, and what's in the blend

Choline is an essential nutrient, meaning the diet has to supply it. It appears here as choline bitartrate, at 50mg, or 9% of the Daily Value.

Below the minerals sits the 609mg proprietary blend: DMAE bitartrate, L-glutamine HCl, glutamic acid, inositol, GABA and phosphatidylserine from soy (Glycine max, seed). The botanical side runs green tea leaf extract, bacopa (Bacopa monnieri, whole herb), bilberry fruit, grape seed, grapefruit seed, olive leaf, cassia bark and licorice root, plus huperzine A (Huperzia Serrate, whole herb). Boron and vanadium close it, along with DHA — docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid.

A proprietary blend gives one total rather than a per-ingredient split: 609mg across eighteen ingredients.

Two capsules once a day. The shell is hypromellose, a vegetable capsule rather than gelatin.
