ABOUT THAT WORD "PROPRIETARY"
Worth being straight about it. A proprietary blend means the panel gives you the combined total — 231mg — and the list of what's in it, but not the milligram split between the six. That's how this formula is filed, and we're not going to invent numbers that the panel doesn't print. What you can count on is the total, the six names, and the plant part each one comes from.
The six botanicals
Gotu kola, Centella asiatica, is a low creeping herb in the same family as parsley and carrot, found in wetlands across Asia. It goes in as a whole-herb powder, not an extract.
Astragalus is a legume-family plant whose root is the part people use. Here it's an extract of the root.
Bacopa monnieri is a small creeping marsh plant, sometimes sold as water hyssop or brahmi. Like the gotu kola, it's here as a whole-herb powder rather than an extract.
Cistanche deserticola is one of the odder plants in the supplement aisle — a desert species that grows attached to the roots of desert shrubs rather than making its own chlorophyll. The stem is the part extracted.
Maritime pine bark comes from Pinus pinaster, the French maritime pine. This extract is standardized to 65% proanthocyanidins, a family of plant polyphenols. Read that 65% as describing the pine bark extract itself, not the 231mg blend as a whole.
Panax ginseng is Asian ginseng, the root, as a powder. It's the ingredient on this list most shoppers will already recognize by name.
How it's taken
One capsule a day. That's the entire routine — no scoop, no shaker, no flavor to get used to. Thirty capsules in the bottle, so one bottle is thirty days.
The capsule shell is gelatin, so this isn't a vegetarian capsule. The rest of what's in there is standard capsule-filling material: microcrystalline cellulose for bulk, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide to keep the powder flowing through the machinery, and MCT oil.
Who it's for
People who want the classic botanical line-up — gotu kola and bacopa especially — without buying five or six separate bottles and working out how to take them all. It suits anyone who wants their supplement routine to be one capsule rather than a production, and anyone who prefers whole-herb powders sitting alongside standardized extracts rather than one or the other.
