The two mushrooms
Cordyceps is a slender, finger-shaped fungus rather than a capped mushroom. Lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus) is the shaggy white one — it grows as a ball of soft downward-hanging spines on hardwood, closer in appearance to a sea creature than to anything in a produce aisle, and it's sold as a culinary mushroom as well as a supplement. Both are here as extracts, at 100mg each, meaning the material has been concentrated rather than simply dried and powdered.
The three that aren't mushrooms
Vitamin B12 is one of the eight B vitamins, water-soluble, and the one that's hardest to get from a plants-only diet because its dietary sources are overwhelmingly animal foods. There's 500mcg of it in a dropper.
Alpha GPC is short for alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine, a choline-carrying compound. It's the choline form that turns up on supplement panels, at 25mg here.
L-tyrosine is an amino acid. It's one of the non-essential ones, meaning your body can build it, and it's the raw material from which several other compounds are made. Also 25mg.
Why drops
A liquid is simply easier to be consistent with than a five-ingredient stack of capsules, and this bottle is five ingredients in one dropper. The glycerin base is thick and mildly sweet, so a dropper straight under the tongue goes down without much ceremony, and it stirs cleanly into coffee, tea or a smoothie — no powder sitting on the surface. The pipette is marked, so the dose is visible rather than counted. Alongside the actives, the bottle holds glycerin, purified water, natural flavoring, stevia, and potassium sorbate and nisin to keep it stable. Shake it before you use it; extracts settle.
Who it's for
People shopping the functional mushroom and nootropic shelf who want cordyceps and lion's mane together rather than in two separate bottles. Anyone on a plant-based diet who's already watching their B12. Morning coffee drinkers who'd rather add something to a cup than swallow capsules. Vegans, and anyone steering clear of gluten or an alcohol tincture.
