What you get in every dropper

  • 150mg Proprietary Mushroom Immune Complex — chaga, reishi, maitake, shiitake and turkey tail
  • 50mg cordyceps mushroom extract
  • A serving is 1ml, which is one full dropper, about 30 drops
  • 30 servings in a 1 fl oz (30ml) bottle — one month at one dropper a day
  • Glycerin and purified water make the base, not alcohol
  • Sweetened with stevia, and nothing else
  • Vegan, gluten free and non-GMO

The five mushrooms in the complex

The 150mg complex is proprietary, so the panel gives the total rather than a split, and the five are listed together underneath it. Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is the hard black mass that grows out of birch trunks in cold forests — it looks like burnt charcoal and is nothing like a supermarket mushroom. Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is the glossy, lacquered, kidney-shaped shelf fungus. Maitake is the one sold in produce aisles as hen of the woods, a big frilly cluster at the base of oaks. Shiitake is the familiar brown-capped cooking mushroom. Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) is the thin banded bracket that fans out across fallen logs in rings of brown and cream.

About the cordyceps

Cordyceps gets its own line on the panel at 50mg, separate from the complex. It's a slender, finger-shaped fungus rather than a capped mushroom, and it's the one that people who follow mushroom supplements tend to know by name already. Here it's an extract, meaning the material has been concentrated rather than simply dried and milled.

Why drops instead of capsules

Mushroom supplements usually turn up as capsules or as a powder you have to stir. Drops sit somewhere more convenient than either. The glycerin base is thick and faintly sweet on its own, so a dropper under the tongue is easy, and it stirs into coffee, tea, a smoothie or a glass of water without clumping the way a powder does. You can also see exactly how much you've taken — one dropper, thirty drops, marked on the pipette. A 1 fl oz bottle is small enough to live in a bag.

Beyond the mushrooms, the bottle holds glycerin, purified water, natural flavoring, stevia as the sweetener, and potassium sorbate and nisin to keep it stable. Shake before you use it — mushroom extract settles.

Who it's for

Anyone shopping the functional mushroom and adaptogen shelf who'd rather have a chaga and cordyceps liquid than another bottle of capsules. People who already drink a morning coffee or tea and want one thing to add to it. Vegans, and anyone avoiding gluten or alcohol-based tinctures.
