Mushroom Capsules
Mushroom Capsules put ten mushroom species into a two-capsule serving, with the four best-known of them — cordyceps, reishi, shiitake and lion's mane — each given its own line on the panel at 266mg, rather than being folded into a blend where you'd never know the split. Thirty servings a bottle, in a vegetable capsule. The label calls it an Immune & Mental Clarity Formula.*

The four named mushrooms
Cordyceps sinensis is the one row on this panel that isn't a fruiting body: it specifies mycelium — the branching, root-like network a fungus grows through its substrate, as opposed to the mushroom you'd recognise above ground.
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is the lacquered, kidney-shaped shelf fungus that grows on hardwood, so hard and woody that it's brewed or extracted rather than eaten. Shiitake (Lentinus edodes) is the culinary one, the brown-capped mushroom native to East Asia and cultivated on logs for centuries. Lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus) is the white, shaggy one that hangs off hardwood in cascading spines and looks more like a sea creature than a mushroom.
The panel is specific about which part of each species it used — three of the four named rows say (Fruit), the fruiting body — and so are we.
The six in the blend
The 266mg proprietary blend rounds the count to ten: maitake (Polyporus frondosus), turkey tail (Coriolus versicolo), chaga (Inonotus obliquus), royal sun agaricus (Agaricus blazei), white button (Agaricus bisporus) and black fungus (Auricularia auricula), all fruiting-body extracts. Maitake is the ruffled "hen of the woods" that grows at the base of oaks, turkey tail the banded bracket fungus on every fallen log, chaga the black, charred-looking growth on birch, and white button the ordinary supermarket mushroom — included here as an extract like the rest.
How it's taken
Two vegetable capsules once a day, ideally 20-30 minutes before a meal with an 8oz glass of water. Capsules do the obvious job here: mushroom extracts taste strongly of mushroom, and reishi in particular is famously bitter. The shell is hypromellose, so the whole thing stays vegan.
Who it's for
Anyone who's been buying lion's mane in one bottle, reishi in another and cordyceps in a third, and would rather have one. People who want the well-known four actually dosed and labelled instead of buried in a blend. And anyone who likes a mushroom supplement that tells you which species, which part and how many milligrams.
How to use it
As a dietary supplement take two (2) capsules once a day. For best results, take 20-30 min before a meal with an 8oz (237ml) glass of water or as directed by your healthcare professional.
What's in it
Other ingredients: Hypromellose (vegetable capsule), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate.
