Olive Leaf, Moringa & Holy Basil Capsules

Olive Leaf, Moringa & Holy Basil Capsules is an 800 mg proprietary blend of seven botanical extracts in a vegetable capsule. Two capsules a day, thirty servings, sixty capsules — a botanical formula for people who'd rather take plants than a stack of isolated compounds.

What you get in every serving (2 capsules)

  • Proprietary Blend 800 mg, made up of seven botanical extracts:
  • Olive Leaf Extract (20% oleuropein)
  • Moringa oleifera Extract (leaf)(std. to 30% saponins)
  • Phellodendron amurense (bark) Extract (std. to 8% berberine)
  • Citrus Bioflavonoids (Citrus aurantium)(fruit)(std. to 50% hesperidin)
  • Holy Basil Extract (Ocimum sanctum)(leaves)(2.5% ursolic acid)
  • African Mango (Irvingia gabonensis) Seed Extract
  • Cayenne Pepper Extract (Fruit) 4:1
  • Hypromellose vegetable capsule — no gelatin

One thing to be straight about: the panel states the blend as a single 800 mg total and doesn't break out how much of each extract is in it. So we won't either. Seven extracts, 800 mg between them, and that's every number this label gives.

What standardized actually means

Five of the seven carry a standardization figure, and that's the most useful detail on this panel. Standardizing means the extract is made to contain a stated percentage of a named marker compound, so one batch matches the next instead of drifting with the harvest.

Olive leaf here is standardized to 20% oleuropein, the bitter compound olive leaf is known for. Moringa oleifera leaf is standardized to 30% saponins, a broad family of plant compounds that foam in water — the word comes from soap. Phellodendron amurense is the bark of the Amur cork tree, standardized to 8% berberine, a yellow alkaloid shared by several unrelated plants. The citrus bioflavonoids come from Citrus aurantium fruit at 50% hesperidin, a citrus flavonoid. Holy basil, Ocimum sanctum, is a leaf extract at 2.5% ursolic acid.

The two unstandardized ones

African mango is the seed extract of Irvingia gabonensis, a West African forest tree. Cayenne pepper is a 4:1 fruit extract — the ratio means roughly four parts raw material concentrated into one part extract, the older way of describing strength before marker compounds became standard.

How it's taken

Who it's for

Anyone drawn to botanical formulas over single isolated nutrients, and anyone who wants olive leaf, moringa and holy basil without buying three separate jars.
