Three things from the hive

Bee bread is pollen the colony has already worked on. Foragers pack it into the comb, and there it ferments — the panel names it precisely that way, bee bread extract (naturally fermented pollen). It's the same material sold in Eastern Europe as perga, and it isn't interchangeable with raw bee pollen; the fermentation is what separates them. At 2500mg it's the largest single line on this panel by a wide margin.

Royal jelly is the milky secretion nurse bees produce and feed to larvae in the hive. Here it's lyophilized — freeze-dried, meaning the water is frozen and then drawn off under vacuum, which is how a fresh, moist substance becomes a dry powder that can go into a sachet at all. The panel lists 500mg of it.

Propolis is the hive's building material: bees collect resin from tree buds and bark and work it into a sealant for gaps and surfaces inside the hive. What's in the sachet is propolis extract powder, 500mg.

Vitamin C rounds the panel out at 12mg, 13% of the Daily Value.

How it's taken, and what to expect

A sachet is a single pre-measured serving — no scoop, no scale, no jar to keep level. Tear one open and it goes straight into a smoothie or another beverage, which is what the directions say to do, and it's worth following. This is a plain powder of hive ingredients, not a flavoured drink mix, so give it something to blend into: a banana smoothie, a berry blend, juice, a cup of tea once it's cooled a little. One a day, and a box carries thirty.

Sachets also make this the easiest format to take with you — one in a pocket or a gym bag beats a tub and a scoop.

Who it's for

People who already use bee pollen or royal jelly on its own and would rather have the three hive ingredients arriving together in a measured dose. Smoothie drinkers especially, since the directions were written for exactly that. Anyone who prefers single-serve packaging to a shared tub.

One honest note: these are bee products. The label's claim is vegetarian, not vegan, and anyone who reacts to pollen or bee products should skip it. Read the caution below first.
