What you get in every capsule

One veggie capsule delivers:

  • 125 mcg Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) — 625% of the Daily Value
  • 100 mcg Vitamin K2 (mk-7)(as Menaquinone) — Daily Value not established, so the panel marks it **
  • 210 mg Calcium (As Calcium Carbonate) — 16% of the Daily Value
  • 5 mg BioPerine® (Black Pepper Fruit Extract) — Daily Value not established
  • A hypromellose vegetable capsule — plant-derived, no gelatin
  • Gluten free, lactose free and allergen free, the three claims printed on the label

The D3 and K2 rows

Vitamin D3 is cholecalciferol, the D vitamer the skin forms under sunlight, as opposed to D2. The panel gives it at 125 mcg — 625% of the Daily Value.

Vitamin K2 is menaquinone, and the (mk-7) in the row names which menaquinone. MK-7 is the longer-chain form, and it's a different molecule from MK-4 even though both are sold as K2. That parenthesis is worth checking when you compare K2 products — plenty of labels just say "vitamin K2" and leave you guessing. No Daily Value has been established for K2 specifically, which is why this row carries **.

The calcium and the pepper

Calcium appears at 210 mg, 16% of the Daily Value, as calcium carbonate, the form the panel names. Be clear-eyed about the number: 210 mg is a partial contribution, not a full day's calcium in one capsule.

BioPerine® is a trademarked black pepper fruit extract, and the panel lists it at 5 mg with no Daily Value established. The trademark identifies whose extract it is.

What else is in the capsule

Two things, both on the label. Microcrystalline cellulose is refined plant fibre used as a bulking material across the supplement and pharmaceutical trade. Hypromellose is the capsule itself, cellulose-derived, which is what makes it a vegetable capsule rather than gelatin. Nothing else.

How it's taken

One capsule twice a day, 20-30 minutes before a meal. The panel counts sixty one-capsule servings, so taken the suggested way a bottle runs thirty days.

Who it's for

Anyone who'd rather buy calcium, D3 and K2 together than keep three bottles going, and anyone who wants the K2 form named as MK-7 rather than left vague. A single small capsule twice a day suits people who don't get on with chalky calcium tablets or large softgels. The label prints gluten free, lactose free and allergen free.

How to use it

As a dietary supplement take one (1) capsule twice a day. For best results take 20-30 min before a meal or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Other ingredients

Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hypromellose (vegetable capsule).
