- Non-GMO
The two on the front of the bottle
MSM is short for methylsulfonylmethane. It's an organosulfur compound — a small molecule built around a single sulfur atom — and it turns up naturally in some plants. It's the largest single amount in the serving at 300 mg.
Glucosamine is an amino sugar: a sugar molecule carrying a nitrogen group. The panel names this one precisely — GlucosaGreen® vegetal glucosamine HCl, 200 mg per serving. HCl is simply the hydrochloride salt form. The label doesn't make an allergen statement or a shellfish-free claim, so if you have a shellfish allergy, talk to your physician before you take it rather than reading anything into the word "vegetal".
The botanical side
Turmeric Powder (root), 200 mg — the dried, ground root of the turmeric plant, the same spice that turns curry yellow. Read the panel carefully here: it's whole root powder, not an extract standardized to a curcumin percentage. Those are two different ingredients.
White Willow Bark Extract, 150 mg — an extract taken from the bark of the white willow tree.
Boswellia serrata Extract (resin), 100 mg — the resin of the Boswellia serrata tree, standardized so that 65% of the extract is boswellic acids. That percentage is printed on the panel, not estimated here.
Black Pepper Extract (fruit), 10 mg — standardized to 95% piperine, the compound responsible for black pepper's bite.
Hyaluronic Acid, 10 mg — a long sugar chain that occurs naturally in the body and binds a remarkable amount of water for its size.
How it's taken
Two capsules a day with water, at whatever hour you'll actually remember. There's no flavour to get past and nothing to mix. One thing to flag plainly: the capsule shell is gelatin, not a vegetable capsule, so this one isn't vegetarian. The formula itself is non-GMO.
Who it's for
People who'd rather buy one bottle than seven. MSM, glucosamine, turmeric, white willow bark, boswellia, black pepper extract and hyaluronic acid bought separately is a crowded shelf and a fistful of capsules. It's also for anyone who wants to see the glucosamine form named on the panel, and for anyone who simply wants a daily routine that fits in one hand.
How to use it
As a dietary supplement, adults take two (2) capsules daily. For best results, take with 6-8 oz (177-237ml) of water or as directed by healthcare professional.
What's in it
Gelatin (capsule), Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC), Magnesium Stearate, Olive Oil, Silicon Dioxide.
